Yemen rabbi calls for Jewish seat in parliament

The chief rabbi of Yemen has called on the country’s president to allow the Jewish community and other minority groups to have seats in the country’s parliament.

Rabbi Yahia Youssef Moussa delivered the remarks in an interview with CNN Arabic.

Moussa emphasized to the president the importance of the Jewish community to Yemen, and said the Jewish community would like to serve in the government to help its own community and all the people of Yemen. — jta
