Seven historic synagogues in Krakow that are closed for most of the year will open for one night.

The synagogues will open June 2 as part of the second annual “7@nite-Synagogues By Night,” an evening of exhibitions, music concerts and fashion shows by young artists from Poland and around the world.

The free event is sponsored by the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, JCC Krakow and the Krakow Jewish community.

Geva Alon, an Israeli singer and songwriter, will play with his band in Tempel Synagogue in his first concert in Poland. — jta
