‘Orthodox Dr. Ruth’ to speak in Berkeley

An afternoon tea celebrating Jewish women and featuring relationships expert Sarah Karmely is being hosted by Chabad of Berkeley.

Karmely will speak at a home in the Berkeley hills from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, May 6. The event is open to all, with a suggested donation of $36.

Born in India to Iranian parents and raised in London, Karmely now resides in New York. “She is a world-renowned speaker about Jewish relationships and intimacy,” noted Miriam Ferris of Chabad of Berkeley. “She’s the Orthodox Dr. Ruth.”
