I was a camp cook at Camp Saratoga (which became Camp Swig) from 1958 to 1960, baking all of the desserts and Friday night challahs, salad, soups, etc.

l had a private cabin and got to enjoy most of the social and religious activities. I was the only Jewish member of the kitchen staff, but had none of the moral burdens of the counseling staff. I had a ball.
