Santa Cruz may be best known for its boardwalk and beaches, but for many Bay Area families it is a Jewish summer destination as well. Camp Kayetz, operated for 20 years by Temple Beth El in Aptos, offers four-week day sessions for children ages 6 to 15. Some families use the opportunity to vacation nearby while their children are living it up at camp. They enjoy arts and crafts, cooking, sports, music, dance and field trips, plus a two-night campout in the redwood forest. (Closing friendship circle from last year’s camp is pictured above.) This summer’s session runs June 18-July 13. For information, contact director Miriam Guiney at [email protected].
