A planning commissioner since 1992 and chair since July 1, 1996, Grayson will serve as chair through June 30, 1998.

He has served on the boards of Temple Emanu-El, the Jewish Federation of Greater San Jose and the Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center of Greater San Jose. He is past member of the San Jose area Jewish Community Relations Council, and served as chair of the Jewish Business and Professional Association. He also is past recipient of the Koret Israel Prize.

Grayson was a long-time staff member to former Rep. Norman Y. Mineta. He heads his own government affairs and community relations consulting firm in San Jose.

PTS will donate prayerbooks to Cuban synagogue
