Gan Torah, a program from Wilderness Torah that helps children discover the connection between nature and Judaism, is open for registration for its upcoming session.

BaMidbar: In the Wilderness, for ages 8 to 10, will meet from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on six Sundays in Redwood Regional Park in Oakland, starting Feb. 27.

Children will discuss Torah stories, explore Jewish spirituality and personal responsibility through ecological awareness, and develop community and wilderness survival skills, including foraging, tracking, shelter-building and fire-building. Experienced environmental educators will guide all sessions.

Cost for the six-week program is $250. To register or for more information, visit www.wildernesstorah.org.
