Handcrafted Jewish ritual objects wanted for new book

Submissions are invited for a book about handmade Jewish fabric crafts, created with spiritual inspiration.
“Jewish Threads: Hands-on Jewish Fabric Crafts” will feature projects such as sewn and knitted prayer shawls, embroidered tallit and tefillin bags, crocheted yarmulkes and embroidered Torah covers.
Artists may submit a story about the handcrafted ritual pieces, along with photos, step-by-step instructions and a brief bio.
Diana Drew, who worked on a handcrafted quilted Jewish wedding canopy as a project for the National Council of Jewish Women, is putting the book together. Materials should be e-mailed to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) by Oct. 1.
