Hamas stops junk food from entering

Israel announcement last week that it will allow snack foods and sweet drinks into Gaza, was met by a “no thanks” reply.

Hamas officials instead called on Israel to allow construction materials.

Along with snacks and sweet drinks, spices and shaving cream also were OK’d.

“We want Israel to lift the ban on textile, clothes, office equipment, paper products and school equipment,” a Hamas leader said.

“But mostly we want [Israel] to allow the transfer of cement and iron because these are the essential materials.” — jta

For what?

“But mostly we want [Israel] to allow the transfer of cement and iron because these are the essential materials.”

Hamas’ contempt for the West could not be clearer.  This is lying to us to our faces.

They don’t even bother to deny that what they demand is materials for fortifications from which to resume their rocket war against Israeli civilians.
