Aquarian Minyan of Berkeley will celebrate its double chai 36th anniversary with a string of events the weekend of June 25 to 27.
Founded in 1974 by Rabbi Zalman Schachter-Shalomi, the Renewal congregation currently numbers 80 families. The weekend lineup includes worship, discussion and celebration. One focus will be the legacy of Rabbi David Wolfe-Blank, who was with the Minyan from 1981 to 1995. He died in an auto accident in 1998 at the age of 47.
The weekend celebrations start at 6:30 p.m. June 25 at Chochmat HaLev and include Friday evening potluck and service, Saturday morning service, afternoon meal and discussion, a multimedia musical celebration, a film program and a seminar on the liturgy of Wolfe-Blank.
Chochmat HaLev is located at 2215 Prince St. in Berkeley. Costs range from $10-$40 for individual days and $40-$100 for the whole weekend. Information and registration: aminyan.info/anniversary.
