A luscious concoction of Milk & Cookies ice cream, dark chocolate and cinnamon — aka Ben & Jerry’s Harvey Milkshake — will be sampled in S.F.’s Castro District on Saturday, May 22 to celebrate California’s first Harvey Milk Day.
Beginning at 11 a.m., check for Ben & Jerry’s Cow Mobile at the Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy, 4235 19th St., or the 17th Street pedestrian plaza.
The S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation’s LGBT Alliance teamed up with Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream, San Francisco Supervisor Bevan Dufty and Milk’s nephew, Stuart Milk, to create the shake.
A portion of all future sales of the Harvey Milkshake sold in the Ben & Jerry’s Haight-Ashbury scoop shop at 1480 Haight St. will benefit the LGBT Alliance.
