Adina Rauchwerger and Brian Chaikelson were happily married at Wine & Roses in Lodi, California, on September 14, 2008, among family and friends who traveled near and far to join in the celebration. The ceremony was performed by Rabbi Nathaniel Ezray of Congregation Beth Jacob in Redwood City.
The bride is the daughter of Tom and Barbara Rauchwerger of Redwood City, and the sister of Daniel Rauchwerger. She is the granddaughter of Edith Holtz of San Francisco and the late Bernard Holtz, and the late Augusta and Ernest Rauchwerger. Adina graduated with honors from U.C. Berkeley with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and completed her Master of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University. She currently works in emergency medicine research for Kaiser Permanente.
The groom is the son of Dorothy and Mortie Chaikelson of Montreal, Canada, and the brother of Mark Chaikelson of Toronto. He is the grandson of the late Marta and Michael Herling, and the late Sarah and Meyer Chaikelson. Brian graduated from McGill University with a Bachelor of Computer Engineering and works in technology.
The bride’s maid of honor was Natalie Irwin. Bridesmaids were Eve Hill, Vicki Keriazes, Melodie Rubin, Esther Tahrir, Shayna van Hoften and Jannie Wessell. The groom’s best man was Mark Chaikelson. Groomsmen were Mike Allen, Moses DeJong, Nabeel Fawell, Elliot Mitmaker and Daniel Rauchwerger.
The couple honeymooned in Hawaii and celebrated their one-year anniversary in Mendocino. They are delighted to be living in San Francisco surrounded by family and friends.
