Glifecycle anniversary Werner
Werner and Lilo Loeb
Werner and Lilo Loeb of Walnut Creek celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on May 5. Both Werner and Lilo are survivors of the Holocaust and met in 1945 at a Nazi concentration camp after being liberated by Russian troops near the end of WWII. Lilo left Germany in 1947 for Chicago and Werner arrived in 1949 in San Francisco. After Werner settled down in his new environment Lilo came to San Francisco, and they were married in 1950 by Rabbi Saul White of Temple Beth Sholom.

They have two children. Janet married to James Williams and two grandsons Daniel and Ryan who reside near Phoenix, AZ, and Ralph who lives in Los Angeles. As Werner says: After all these years, Lilo is still the love of my life.
