Silicon Valley Israel celebration includes ‘Idol’ contest, parade, pool activities

The Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley will present a salute to the Jewish state with “Silicon Valley Celebrates Israel.” The event takes place 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, May 9 at the Levy Family Campus of the Addison-Penzak Jewish Community Center.
The day’s events include a parade led by Israel Scouts, arts and crafts, pool activities, Israeli food and Jewish American Idol and Mensch Chef competitions. A live concert from Jewish rocker Sheldon Low will follow.
