Kidney donor needed to save mother of twins

Follow j. on   and

A Jewish mother in Denver is searching for a kidney donor. The 43-year-old woman (who asked that her last name not be published) delivered a healthy baby girl and boy on Nov. 30, 2009, but is now on daily  dialysis.  Only a transplant will allow her to get off dialysis.

Since the wait list for a kidney from a deceased donor can take years, she is looking for a living kidney donor.

An ideal donor will be between ages 18 and 60, in good health, with no history of diabetes or high blood pressure. A potential donor must be tested for kidney disease or other conditions. Testing can be done in the donor’s home community. There is no cost to the donor for testing or the transplant process.
