Think you’ve got the pipes to outshine other singing stars on a live stage? The Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley is currently seeking contestants for the sixth annual Jewish American Idol Singing Contest.

The contest, which has been expanded to include adults as well as children, will take place May 9 during the Yom HaAtzmaut (Israel Independence Day) celebration at the Addison-Penzak JCC, 14855 Oka Road, Los Gatos. The free event includes live entertainment, Israeli food and activities for children from 1 to 5:30 p.m.

The Jewish American Idol contest will take place intermittently throughout the day in big blue and white tent. Contestants must sing a tune about Judaism or by a Jewish performer.
