A new ulpan will be offered this summer at Palo Alto’s Oshman Family Jewish Community Center. Hebrew-language classes for beginners through advanced levels will start May 24 and run through July 2.
Israeli-born Hebrew teacher Orna Morad, a fixture at the JCC and other Jewish institutions for many years, will teach all classes — held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily in five-day sessions.
Co-sponsored by the Oshman Family JCC and the Peninsula JCC, the ulpan is located at the Oshman Family JCC, 3921 Fabian Way, Palo Alto. Tuition ranges from $450-$575. For information, call (650) 223-8602 or visit http://www.paloaltojcc.org.
For those closer to San Francisco, an intensive Hebrew immersion program is available for students of all ages at University of San Francisco. Classes meet weekdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 12-30. To register for Ulpan San Francisco, call (415) 422-6601 or visit http://www.usfca.edu.
