Audio version of Tanach now available

The Jewish Publication Society has released an audio version of the Tanach, offering the weekly Torah portion in audio streaming free of charge from jewishpub.org.

Individuals also can purchase audio downloads of the Tanach, Torah and any individual books of the Bible. Offered as both MP3 and iTunes files, downloads can be stored on iPods, MP3 players, other hand-held devices and home computers.

A team of 13 narrators, including rabbis, radio personalities, teachers, television actors and voiceover talents, made the 60 hours of recordings.

Established in 1888, the Jewish Publication Society is a nonprofit, nondenominational organization and the oldest publisher of Jewish works in English.
