Israel Philharmonic Orchestra quartet to play fundraising musicales in Bay Area

American Friends of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra will co-sponsor a series of fundraising musicales featuring the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra String Quartet. It will perform music of Beethoven, Haydn, Schubert and Rachmaninoff. Proceeds will benefit the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra and KeyNote, its education and outreach program.
The first of three local events takes place 6:30 p.m. May 20 at the San Jose home of Doris and Rick Davis. The second takes place 7 p.m. May 22 at the Piedmont home of Susan and Moses Libitzky. The last one takes place 5 p.m. May 23 at the San Francisco home of Nancy and Stephen Grand. Cocktail buffet and dessert with the artists are included at all three events.
