Micah Kaufman is very proud to announce the birth of his sister, Ariella Anker Kaufman, on March 9 in San Francisco. She weighed in at 8 pounds, 6 ounces, and has a full head of hair just like her big brother. Her very thrilled but tired parents are Jennifer and Ira Kaufman. She was also welcomed by her grandparents, Margaret and Peter Anker of Seattle and Susan and Gene Kaufman of San Rafael. Ariella is also the ninth great-grandchild for Ruth Bell.

Shoshana and Stephen Silver are thrilled to announce the birth of their son, Samuel Jared, in San Francisco on January 3, 2010. Samuel Jared was lovingly named in memory of Stephen’s father, Samuel Robert Silver, and Shoshana’s mother, Judith Ann Lebenson Kane. Also celebrating Samuel’s birth are proud grandparents Phoebe Silver of Concord and Philip (and Ros) Kane of Beaverton, Oregon; Uncle Lee Kane and Aunt Gina Rosito of Mill Valley; Great Aunt Ruth and Great Uncle Joe Starr of Millbrae; and family and friends. He was given the Hebrew name Shmuel Avraham Noach. He is an absolute joy!
