The coming Passover night might bring Israel a new brand of matzah: fake ones.

In a well-hidden cache at Be’er Tuvia, a moshav on the southern coast, Israel’s Chief Rabbinate found seven tons of matzah. The boxes were adorned with the highest-standard kosher seals, but the certifications actually were a clever fake. The product was made in poor conditions: leavened bread was found lying around the bakery; regular flour that hadn’t been approved for Passover use may have been used; and there was no evidence of supervision. — jpost
