Most Israelis believe that life as a couple improves after age 65, a recent poll revealed.

In a survey for Kinneret Academic College in Israel conducted by the Geocartography Research Institute, people were asked, “In your opinion, does life as a couple (with all that implies) improve [after age 65] or deteriorate?”

Some 9 percent of men and 12 percent of women said that life as a couple “improved greatly” after age 65, while 32 percent of males and 43 percent of females felt it would “improve.” Overall, 54 percent of respondents felt there was at least some improvement.

The higher the education level, the more optimistic people get about “couple life” after 65.

Five hundred people, ages 18 and up, were surveyed in January, in a sample representative of the adult population. — jpost.com
