Moishe House is now looking for young Jewish adults to start a new Bay Area Moishe House in Palo Alto.
Moishe House is an international nonprofit that creates community for young adult Jews ages 21-30 by subsidizing the rent of a group of residents if they promise to organize events for other Jews in their 20s. Moishe House has 29 locations, including Beijing, Buenos Aires and Mexico City.
The Palo Alto house will be the third in the Bay Area, joining Oakland and San Francisco. The Palo Alto location is funded by the Richard and Rhoda Goldman Fund.
Moishe House is looking for three to five young Jewish adults ages 21 to 30 to live together in a house in Palo Alto and who want to lead and host five or six programs each month. Applicants should be motivated and excited to create their own vision of a Jewish community and become a hub of Jewish life for their young adult peers.
Residents will receive a rent subsidy, program budget and training.
