Laughs, spirituality set for MJCC series

Carlin will talk about his book "Brain Droppings" with D.J. Alex Bennett of Live 105 at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 3 under the stars on Swig Field at MJCC.
Since his TV breakthrough in the '60s as the Hippy Dippy Weatherman, Carlin released more than 18 hit comedy albums, starred in his own TV sitcom and appeared in nine movies.
Whitestone, who attended the Central Institute for the Deaf in St. Louis and whose first book, "Listening with My Heart," will be published in June by Doubleday, will speak at 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 18 at Hoytt Theater.
Coles, an original cast member of "In Living Color," has written "I'm Free, But It'll Cost You" about being single in the '90s. Following her take on living, dating and wising-up at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday July 2 at Swig Field, Brazilian musician Claudia Villela will present a concert.
