The Coastside Jewish Community of Half Moon Bay will celebrate Jhos Singer’s 10th anniversary as its spiritual leader during Shabbat services Friday, Feb. 26 at St. Edmund’s Episcopal Church, 1500 Perez Drive in Pacifica.

Singer, a vocalist, composer and drummer, is widely known for weaving melodies into prayers as spiritual leader at the CJC, an egalitarian congregation serving the San Mateo County coast with worship services, holiday celebrations and lifecycle events, often infused with soulful music.

Present or past members of the Coastside Jewish Community, as well as those with a connection to Singer, are invited to attend the Feb. 26 service, which starts at 7:30 p.m. Avram Frankel from the bluegrass band Kitchen Help will be the guest musician. An oneg will follow the service.
