Temple stages ‘Magical Mystery Spiel’

For its annual Purim play this year, Temple Beth Torah in Fremont will present “Magical Mystery Spiel,” a musical comedy based on music of the Beatles. The presentation, which includes 70 roles, takes place Feb. 20 and 21.
Matt Ballin, who serves as drama teacher at Washington High School in Fremont, is directing the production. The cast is drawn from Beth Torah members of all ages. This is the 11th professionally mounted Purimspiel at the synagogue.
