Vandals using black spray paint drew swastikas and other tags on a portion of the Glen Park Recreation Center building and several benches, according to Elton Pon, spokesman for the San Francisco Recreation and Parks Department.
Park patrol officers discovered the graffiti around 1 a.m. Jan. 11. It was documented, photographed and, within in a few hours, painted over. A possible motive and estimated cost of repairs were not immediately known.
This is the second time in three months that the Glen Park Recreation Center has been hit by vandalism. In November, parents and children discovered large swastikas, epithets and phallic images on a colorful mural near the playground.
