S.F.-based Jewish Family and Children’s Services was selected to receive a grant from the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services’ Office of Citizenship.

The grant will help JFCS expand its Citizenship Services program, which provides legal permanent residents with the educational and legal services needed to secure U.S. citizenship.

The program includes evaluation for eligibility; application preparation; tracking of applications; medical waiver applications; English-language and American civics classes; and one-on-one tutoring. In the past decade, JFCS has helped more than 5,500 clients file for citizenship applications.

For more information about the Citizenship Services program, call (415) 449-2900 or email [email protected].
