Mark Reisbaum has been named chief endowment officer of the S.F.-based Jewish Community Endowment Fund. He replaces Lisa Gurwitch, who is stepping down Oct. 30 after an 18-year tenure. Previously, Reisbaum was the JCEF’s associate executive director/director of grants.
A former investment banker, Reisbaum has overseen grantmaking for a range of funds and supporting foundations, providing grants in both the Jewish and general communities.
He has also been responsible for development of the JCEF’s $8 million operating budget and for overseeing foundation-funded programs locally, nationally and in Israel.
