Marjorie Jean Rudee (n. Haas)

August 20, 1923–February 18, 2009

Born in San Francisco to Edgar and Rebecca Haas, “Margie” attended Lowell High School and was a lifetime resident of S.F. She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 58 yrs., Milton, and cherished brother, Harold Haas. She was the devoted mother of Stephen (Marilyn) Rudee, Barbara (Paul) Jaffe and the late Jeffrey Rudee. Her grandchildren Jason (Jeannette) Rudee, Jill (Sean) Melvin, Michael, Adam (Nicole), and Brian Jaffe will always remember their “Nana” with love. She was a great-grandmother to Haley and Hannah Rudee and Gabrielle Rodda. She was also an adored aunt to Paul, Phil and the late Ellen Haas. Margie had two sisters, Mary Haas and her lifelong friend Joyce Gollober as well as many friends with whom she loved to spend time. Always dressed to the nines, she enjoyed mah jongg, discussing politics, a good book, movies, cards and telling old stories. She was funny, witty, generous and smart, and she will be missed by all who knew her. She was fortunate to have her devoted caregiver, Zenni, for the last two years.  We thank Zenni for her constant love, attention, and care.

Funeral services were held at Home of Peace Cemetery Chapel. Donations can be made to the Milton Rudee Scholarship fund, c/o the ECC Foundation, El Camino College, 16007 Crenshaw Blvd., Torrance, CA 90506. Sinai Memorial Chapel.
