Palo Alto dentist dies in bicycle accident

A popular Jewish Palo Alto dentist was killed Saturday, June 3, while participating in a 100-mile bicycle ride.
Ronald Gordon, 56, a member of Los Altos' Congregation Beth Am, had been an avid cyclist for 30 years.
He was participating in the Sierra 100-mile ride for the second time when he collided with a truck to avoid an oncoming car. He was killed instantly.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, daughter Amanda and son Joshua.
