Wedding

Gene and Susan Kaufman are delighted to announce the marriage of their son Ira Jacob Kaufman to Jennifer Leigh Anker. Jennifer is the daughter of Peter and Margaret Anker of Seattle, WA. The couple was married on April 8, 2006 at the Grand Hyatt Union Square in San Francisco. Rabbi Michael Barenbaum officiated.

The bride grew up in Harrisburg, PA where she graduated from Mercersburg Academy and then went on to receive her BS in Biology from Colgate University in Hamilton, NY. She is the sister of Stefanie Johnson of Seattle, WA, and Brett Anker and Andrew Anker of Woodside, CA. Jennifer is currently working at Morgan Lewis and Bockius, where she is the Attorney Recruiting Coordinator.

The groom grew up in San Rafael, where he attended Brandeis Hillel Day School and graduated from The Branson School in 1989. He went on to get his BA from the University of California, San Diego in Political Science. He is the brother of Nina Kaufman of San Francisco. Ira is currently working at Direct Partners, a marketing agency, as a database developer.

The couple met through mutual friends while on a houseboat trip on the Delta in the summer of 2004. They now live on Potrero Hill in San Francisco.
