Bay Area honors Rabin

It has been 10 years since Yitzhak Rabin, former prime minister of Israel, was assassinated. Various commemorations marking the anniversary of his death will be held in the Bay Area.

Politician, army general, winner of the Nobel peace Prize and the first Israeli-born prime minister, Rabin was assassinated Nov. 4, 1995.

Congregation Emanu-El will hold a musical tribute and Knesset member Avshalom "Abu" Vilan will speak at a memorial lecture 7 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at 2 Lake St., S.F. Congregation Netivot Shalom in Berkeley was to hold a memorial Thursday, Nov. 3.
