passed away peacefully at home on September 2, 2005. Born in Russia in 1914, a resident of San Francisco for over 70 years. Rose was a loving wife of the late Harry Holtz, beloved mother of Arlene Leiber and Eleanor Cutler, adored grandmother of Steven, Mitchell and David Leiber (wife Janina and son Lexi), Michael Cutler and Nancy Dye (husband Robert), great grandmother of Alex, Hannah and Morgan Dye, Lydia and Oscar Leiber, loving mother-in-law of Paul Leiber and Robert Cutler, devoted mother of Morris Karz. Her spirit and love of life was an inspiration to her family and many friends. Rose's kindness and generosity touched many people in her long life. Private family services were held. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
