Deaths

Marion Newman our beloved "tutu" on Aug. 30, 2005, in San Francisco. Cherished wife of the late Fred Newman; devoted mother of Nancy Newman, M.D. & the late Lynda Eckert, adoring grandmother of Brent Eckert & his wife Christine; sister of Ann Miller and Betty Decter and the late Dave Solomon, Sibby Andrews and Harriet Aboudara; sister-in-law of Vivian Solomon. Businesswoman and owner of the Arline Francis Shop, volunteered for many charities. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, charitable contributions are requested.




Janet Barnett in Walnut Creek on September 1, at 80 years of age. A happy person who cared most about her family and friends. Wife of Norman Barnett; mother of Irv (Lee) Barnett and Fran (Dave) Cunningham; sister of Gaye (Stu) Seiler; grandmother of Jason Cunningham and Elizabeth Barnett and great-grandmother of Zoe, Violet and Ewan Barnett. Donations in her memory may be made to the Reutlinger Community for Jewish Living.
