Deaths

Francis C. Becker on July 28, 2005, in Danville, at 96 years of age. A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, moving to San Francisco in 1930. Worked as a bookkeeper with a lumber company in San Francisco for many years and with her husband in their own business Sam's Liquors in San Francisco. Former resident at Rhoda Goldman Plaza, a past member of Hadassah and the Jewish Leisure League. Wife of the late Benjamin Becker for 50 years; loving mother of Judy Pittson of Danville and dear grandmother of Kristi (Ryan) Mendosa and Brian Pittson and great-grandmother of Brendan Mendosa; loving sister of the late Rose Levy and Sally Dreyer. Services were scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, Salem Cemetery, 1171 El Camino Real, Colma. Donations may be made to Hope Hospice or favorite charity.

Harold Simon In San Francisco, July 28, 2005. Dearly beloved husband of Joan Simon; loving father of Robert and Richard Simon. A WWII veteran and a native of San Francisco. Services were held at Hills of Eternity Memorial Park in Colma under the direction of Sinai Memorial Chapel, San Francisco.
