Tax help for elderly and low-income filers

The National Association of Black Accountants (NABA) and the S.F.-based Jewish Community Relations Council are providing free income tax assistance for elderly and low income wage earners who are filing 1040A, 540A, 1040 EZ or 540 EZ.

Volunteers are available from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Taylor Memorial United Methodist Church, 1188-12th St., Oakland.

No appointment is necessary. Individuals must bring W-2 forms and all pertinent documents. For information, call JCRC at (415) 957-1551.

Kids on playground are subject of workshop

A three-session workshop on Playground Politics: Learning More About the Social Life of Elementary School Children will begin at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 13 and continue through March 27 at Jewish Family and Children's Services, 3272 California St., S.F.
