Jewish Voice for Peace plans Israel fest protest
Jewish Voice for Peace has issued a press release stating its intention to hold a "silent gathering" at "Israel in the Gardens" on June 5 in protest of the ongoing occupation of Gaza and the West Bank.
The release states the protest "will draw attention to the devastating impact of the occupation on both the Palestinian people and Israel, and will represent the many American Jewish and Israeli voices whose opposition to Israeli policy has been silenced."
JCHS names interim head of school
Rabbi Sheldon "Shelly" Dorph has accepted the position of Interim Head of School at Jewish Community High School of the Bay in San Francisco.
A nationally known Jewish educator, Dorph previously served as director of the Milken Jewish High School in Los Angeles as well as international director of Camp Ramah.
