Anne Finkelstein In San Francisco May 18, 2005. Beloved mother of David (Marian) Finkelstein, Phyllis (Joel) Blood, Dr. Gerald (Barbara) Fine and Marilyn Lesser. Devoted grandmother of eleven, great grandmother of nine and great-great grandmother of one. A native of the Bronx, NY, age 95. Services were held. Memorial contributions to the Jewish Home, San Francisco, preferred.

Sidney Joseph Bass passed away peacefully in Burlingame, CA at the age of 86 on May 21, 2005. He was preceded in death, earlier this year, by his beloved wife of 63 years Thelma Bass, his high school sweetheart. He is survived by his devoted children, Phylis Bass of San Francisco and Marvin Bass of San Mateo; adored grandchildren David Elias (Kathryn Redekop) of Berkeley and Leslie Elias of San Mateo. The eldest of nine children he was preceded in death by two sisters and is survived by six brothers and sisters-in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews. Born in Chicago, IL on May 15, 1919 to the late Benjamin and Doris Bass. He moved to California in 1949 residing in the Los Angeles area until 1958 when the family settled in San Mateo. Sid was a respected member of the furniture industry for over 55 years. He was a past president of the Home Furnishings Representative Assoc. of Northern California and served on their Board of Governors. An extremely talented singer, his high school yearbook stated "Bass Beats Bing" and he had been offered a job with the Orin Tucker band before he entered the service in WWII. Known by all as one of the kindest and most gentle of men whose humor was non pareil. Sid enjoyed traveling, telling wonderful stories and most of all loved spending time with his family. He will be dearly missed and joyously remembered by all his family and friends. Funeral services were held at Hills of Eternity Memorial Park Chapel, 1301 El Camino Real, Colma, CA with interment to follow at the gravesite. Contributions to the American Cancer Society or Alzheimer's Assoc.

Charles Wine died Monday, May 16, 2005 at age 87. His passing is mourned by his children Karen and Joel, and devoted companion, Helen Braunstein. Grandfather and great grandfather. Funeral services were held at Hills of Eternity Memorial Park in Colma.
