Bagel Beer man accused of pilfering investors’ funds

Greg Newcorn, the Fairfax brewer who made a splash with his signature Bagel Beer, is accused of pocketing more than $1 million of his backers' dough.
Newcorn was charged with grand theft Friday, April 15. He is scheduled to appear for felony arraignment Friday, May 6, in Marin Superior Court.
The 44-year-old, who was profiled in j. in July of 2003, turned himself into police in August last year and an investigation ensued.
If found guilty of embezzling the funds, he could face up to six years in prison.
