Public menorahs celebrate Chanukah from Sonoma to San Jose

Chabad of the North Peninsula is organizing the lighting of its LEGO menorah 6 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at the Burlingame Caltrain station.

Chabad of San Jose is hosting a celebration with entertainment, events for children and the lighting of a 17-foot-tall steel menorah sculpted by local artist David Naisuler. The lighting starts 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 7, at Paseo de San Antonio in downtown San Jose. Information: (408) 358-5530.

Chabad of Noe Valley begins construction on a large LEGO menorah 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 12, at the corner of 24th and Noe streets in San Francisco. The menorah is scheduled to be completed for a 5 p.m. lighting that day. Information: (415) 821-7046.
