‘Jerusalem Diaries’ author to speak here: who's in town

Israeli journalist Judy Lash Balint, author of "Jerusalem Diaries: In Tense Times," will speak at 7:15 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 14, at Congregation Beth El, 2301 Vine St., Berkeley.
Balint will talk about how Israeli women try to lead normal lives despite threats to their safety and that of their children. The lecture is sponsored by Bridges to Israel-Berkeley and Beth El. A $10 donation will be requested. Information: (510) 527-4217.
