Miller, Perry Paul In Oakland, Oct. 20. Age 96. Husband of the late Helen Miller for 46 years. Father of Janet Epstein, Barbara Reagan and Robert Miller. Grandfather of Alison, Evan and Leah Epstein; Justin and Ross Reagan; and Bradley, Laurie and Morgan Miller. Last remaining of the late Bertha and Abraham Miller's six children. Brother of the late Arvo, Gelly, Helen, Leon and Abe Miller. Born in Salt Lake City. Participated in basketball, track and boxing as a young man. Played semi-pro and minor league baseball, including a stint with the Oakland Oaks of the Pacific Coast League. Golfer. Owned several jewelry stores in Oakland and San Francisco. Mason and member of the Shrine Temple. Services were held at Home of Eternity Cemetery, Oakland. Donations to Melanoma Research Foundation, P.O. Box 5230, Toms River, NJ 08754.

Ostroff, Harry B. In Foster City, Nov. 11. Age 88. Husband of Charlotte Ostroff for 67 years. Father of Susan (and Donald) Miles and Barbara (and Richard) Green. Grandfather of Scott Miles, Brad and Michael Green and the late Samantha Green. Long-time member of Peninsula Temple Beth El. Member of SIRS. Funeral services were held at Hills of Eternity Cemetery, Colma. Donations to Mission Hospice, San Mateo County, 151 W. 20th Ave., San Mateo, CA 94403.

Somers, Sam In San Francisco, Nov. 13. Age 91. Husband of the late Clara Somers. Father of Michael and Stephen Somers. Brother of David Somers and the late Charles and Morris Somers. Uncle of Celia Somers, Laurel Ann Meyer and Gail Somers Bonnett. Private family services were held under the direction of Sinai Memorial Chapel. Donations to Congregation Emanu-El, P.O. Strauss, Harry In San Francisco, Nov. 15. Age 84. Husband of Sally Strauss. Father of Linda (and Alan) Schwartz; Michael (and Lyla) Strauss; Gary (and Cynthia) Kwart, and Moshe (and Eta) Kwart. Grandfather of eight. Native of Germany. San Francisco resident for 65 years. After immigrating to the United States, returned to Europe during World War II with the U.S. Army and served as an interpreter. Owned and operated the Mission Office Furniture Co. until he retired at age 55. Services were held at the Hills of Eternity Cemetery, Colma. Weiss, Miriam In San Francisco, Nov. 17. Age 73. Daughter of Wolf Sattler and the late Sonja Sattler. Sister of Joseph and Juana Sattler and the late Bandi Weiss. Aunt of Henry, Lisa, David and Anna Sattler. Great aunt of Simon Sattler. Holocaust survivor. Employee of the S.F.-based Jewish Community Federation for 30 years.  Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 23 at Sinai Memorial Chapel, 1501 Divisadero St., S.F. Donations to the Jewish Community Federation, 121 Steuart St., S.F., CA 94105.
