ISLAMABAD (JTA) -- A member of Al Qaida was identified as one of the killers of Wall Street Journal reporter Daniel Pearl, according to Associated Press.

The identification was made by a Pakistani held but not charged in the January kidnapping of Pearl, who was killed earlier this year after admitting to his Jewish roots in a video made by his abductors. If the identification proves true, it would mark the first time that Al Qaida was linked to Pearl's death.

Australia punishes Holocaust denier

SYDNEY, Australia (JTA) -- An Australian court ordered a Holocaust denier to purge his Australia-based Web site of all material alleging that the Holocaust never happened.

The Federal Court also ordered Fredrick Toben on Tuesday not to publish any such material anywhere on the Internet. In what is being described as the first Australian court decision regarding hate and the Internet, the court ruled that Toben's Web site was illegal under Australia's racial discrimination laws.

The case against Toben was brought in 1996 by Jeremy Jones, currently president of the Executive Council of Australian Jewry.

BUCHAREST (JTA) -- An Israel-bound plane was forced to land Sunday in Romania following a bomb warning.

The flight from Amsterdam to Tel Aviv was forced to land in Bucharest when a letter was found on the plane warning that a bomb had been planted on the aircraft, Associated Press reported. After landing, no explosives were found on the plane or during a search of passengers and luggage.

Islamic radicals say U.S. deserved Sept. 11

LONDON (JTA) -- A group of radical Muslims meeting in London praised Osama bin Laden for the Sept. 11 attacks. Participants at the Sept. 11 meeting issued a statement accusing the United States of acting as if it is "above any law" in its foreign policy.

About a dozen men, their faces covered, prevented journalists from attending the meeting at the Finsbury Park Mosque in north London. The mosque is widely regarded as a center of radical Islam in Britain.
