Islamic group targets top Jews in Denmark

by COPENHAGEN (JPS) -- Fifteen prominent Danish Jews have been put on a hit list by an extreme Muslim group, a Danish newspaper rev, The list reportedly includes Deputy Foreign Minister Michael Melchior's father, Binyamin, a leading rabbi, and Oslo accords-arch

The Muslim group believed to be behind the list is Hizb Ut Tahrir, whose aim is to create worldwide Islamic rule. Melchior said that he could not confirm or deny that his father is on the list.

However, he said that the Danish authorities are "taking the matter seriously" and have contacted the people on the list.
