Last year the Chanukah Book Drive collected more than $4,000 in cash and resulted in donations of more than 1,000 books to local public schools that don't have libraries or the funds to buy new books.

JCL in the East Bay is a joint project of the JCRC and the Jewish Federation of the Greater East Bay. It is affiliated with the National Jewish Coalition for Literacy, based in Massachusetts.
