JERUSALEM (JTA) -- An Israeli teenager was shot and wounded by an Israeli soldier at the Gush Katif settlement checkpoint in the Gaza Strip on Monday.
The young settler, who was driving Palestinian workers through the checkpoint, got out of his car and advanced in a threatening manner toward the checkpoint while the soldiers were checking identity cards, according to the Israel Defense Force.
The IDF apologized for the incident, but said the driver had behaved suspiciously, according to Ha'aretz.
