Knesset spokesman Giora Pordes played down the letter, saying it was meant to refresh legislators' awareness of general security instructions already in place. "There's nothing new in this," he said.
In another letter, Knesset members were asked to consult the Knesset sergeant-at-arms before participating in the funerals of terrorism victims or visits to grieving families.
