Camp Tawonga offers weekends for families, singles
by Camp Tawonga, a Jewish summer camp near Yosemite, is holding a number of retreats in the next two months for adults and families, Located on the Middle Fork of the Tuolumne River, Tawonga is about a three- to four-hour drive from the Bay Area.

A single-parent family camp takes place from Friday, Sept. 14 to Sunday, Sept. 16 and costs $170 for adults, $75 for kids. It will be followed by a Nature and Spirit Family Camp, geared to exploring Jewish spirituality, from Friday, Sept. 28 to Sunday, Sept. 30. Cost is $170 for adults, $75 for kids.
Finally, the Mosaic Family Camp, serving multiracial and multicultural Jewish families, runs from Friday Oct. 5 to Sunday, Oct. 7. Cost is $170 for adults, $75 for kids.
