Ex-Bay Area ADL director dies in Marin
by A former director of the Bay Area region of the Anti-Defamation League, Irving Babow, died in Novato on June 29. He was 87., Babow was born in Kiev, Ukraine, and immigrated with his family, first to Chicago, and then to San Francisco.

He was director of the ADL during World War II.
His wife, Frances, died in 1995. He is survived by his daughter Robin Rowe of Boone, N.C.
